Kenya Wildlife Trust

Kenya’s leading predator conservation organization, the Kenya Wildlife Trust is the wildlife partner of choice for the best conservation biologists in the world working in the field of large carnivores.

The Kenya Wildlife Trust (KWT) was founded in October 2007, an initiative of the Directors of Ker & Downey Safaris Company. KWT works with some of the best safari operators in Kenya, raising funds through tourism which are then applied directly to conservation projects in the areas of the country most important for the future of wildlife-based tourism.

Whether supporting predator research and conservation projects or carrying out an eye clinic, the organisation adheres to strict project selection criteria and reporting protocols, in order to assist communities with appropriate conservation for both their benefit and that of wildlife.

Our main office is located in Nairobi, Kenya. We are also registered as a charity in the USA and UK as the ‘Friends of Kenya Wildlife Trust’ (FoKWT) and in Australia as the ‘Kenya Wildlife Foundation Australia Limited.’
